The Centrality of Jesus

This sermon on John 6 links the miracle (the feeding of the 5,000) with the surprising teaching that follows: That a person who eats Jesus’s flesh and drinks his blood will live forever. What on earth could that mean? Was Jesus speaking of Holy Communion? Was it something else? And what are we supposed to do about it?

This is the first of two sermons on Jesus’s claim that he is the bread of life. Sermon time: 26 minutes.
